FAQ

New Zealand questions, answered

How does New Zealand's 6-point system work?

You need 6 points plus a skilled job or offer: a Bachelor's is 3 points, Master's 5, PhD 6, and each year of skilled NZ work adds 1 (max 3). Registration-based professions and high income offer alternate routes. It's the simplest system of any destination we handle.

What is the Green List?

New Zealand's fast-track shortage list. Tier 1 roles (nurses, engineers, ICT specialists) qualify for a Straight to Residence visa — apply for residence from Pakistan the day you have a qualifying job offer.

Can I take my family to New Zealand?

Yes — partners of most work-visa holders get open work rights, and children attend school as domestic students. Residence applications include the whole family.

Is New Zealand cheaper to migrate to than Australia?

Government fees are broadly similar, but New Zealand's points threshold is more achievable for mid-career professionals, and the AEWV route needs no points at all — just an accredited employer.
